The North American Baptist Conference of Churches began and grew out of a strong desire to see lives changed through Christ’s love.  This family of churches focus on doing God’s work through: making new disciples, praying, training new leaders, working together, caring and giving.

Because of the commitment, dedication and sacrifice of our founding church leaders and those that followed, the NAB Conference has grown into a family of churches representing many cultures and heritages throughout Canada and the United States. Today, you will hear Cambodian, Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, French, Korean, Russian, Portuguese and many other languages. The NAB Conference is a family with: over 400 churches, 75,000 church attenders, 64,000 members, nearly 3,000 new believers annually and more than 2,300 baptisms in a year.

The Northern Plains Region (one of the thirteen regions of the North American Baptist Conference) consists of fifty-three churches of the Manitoba Baptist Association and the North Central Association, located in Manitoba, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Montana. It is our hope that this site will help you better understand the NPR, support its cooperative ministries, and find avenues for your own growth in obedience to Jesus Christ.

Sioux Falls Seminary, located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, has been equipping servant leaders who engage the mission of Jesus Christ since 1858. In addition to its affiliation with the North American Baptist Conference, this Baptist seminary serves the educational needs of the many denominations in its region. Strongly evangelical, Sioux Falls Seminary has been offering its students practical ministry experiences for years.  Students are placed in churches or other places of ministry where they are able to preach, teach, and lead worship or see clients through the seminary’s Marriage and Family Therapy Clinic, all of which enhance classroom instruction.
